Welcome

Did you know that of the first 18 astronauts in space 12 were former scouts?

Portmarnock Scouts and Guides are in existence for over 35 years and are both  well established groups.

Neither group has a place to call their own, meetings are held in the local sports and GAA club, school halls.  In the summer when schools are closed, we often find ourselves meeting on the local beach!!

We have been offered a site by Fingal County Council, just at the edge of a small ancient woods....an ideal location, and we are now at the building stage having had all the drawings and planning permission etc passed.

Of course no project can be built without money!  We have at least half of required amount already.  We are appealing to YOU to help!

This is a local charity and for local children.  Between both groups we are catering for over 280 people each week.....and we have a waiting list of at least 60!

Please support us to achieve our aim, which is basically to create good solid citizens for the future.

Thanks you so much for ANY donation you might like to make.

Mary Mc Hale, Guide commissioner.
